What this rebuild actually changes
The old site could not publish without someone editing HTML. This one can.
The rebuild is live on a preview URL, and the shape of it is worth stating plainly before any of it is judged on looks.
Pages are rendered, not assembled in the browser
Every page here is built on Cloudflare's edge and sent as finished HTML. That is not a performance flourish — it is what makes a publication findable. A crawler that has to run JavaScript to see an article is a crawler that may never see it.
Nothing reaches this page without a person
Articles are drafted from real fetched data — prices, volumes, results — and they land in the database as drafts. A draft is invisible here. Someone has to read it and publish it before it exists at a URL. Every reader-facing query runs through a single clause that enforces that, rather than each page being trusted to remember.
Topics expire
A story that isn't written within two days is marked expired instead of written late. The site this replaces still led with a tournament that had finished weeks earlier; that failure is now structural rather than a matter of someone remembering to check.
