Kalshi opens its trade data to employer compliance monitoring
A tie-up with surveillance vendor Comply puts event contracts on the same watchlists that already cover employees' stock and crypto trading.
What was announced
Kalshi said on August 4, 2026 that it has partnered with compliance technology firm Comply, which serves more than 5,000 firms, primarily in financial services. Under the arrangement, Comply will pull Kalshi event contract and perpetual futures trade data into its software so that employers can monitor what their staff are trading on the platform.
Two uses are named: checking trades against internal personal-dealing policies, and flagging possible trading on material non-public information.
It is the second such deal in two months. Kalshi announced a comparable enterprise compliance integration with StarCompliance in June.
Why an exchange wants to be surveilled
Plumbing announcements rarely move volume, but this one describes a specific bottleneck. Regulated financial firms typically require employees to pre-clear or report personal trades, and compliance teams work from feeds that cover equities, funds and, increasingly, digital assets. An asset class with no feed is an asset class that a compliance department has an easy reason to prohibit outright — not because of any view on prediction markets, but because it cannot see the activity.
By shipping data into tooling that thousands of firms already run, Kalshi is removing that objection. The stated goal is institutional liquidity: making event contracts something a bank or asset manager can permit under existing policy rather than carve out.
The MNPI angle matters for a second reason. Event contracts settle on real-world outcomes — corporate, economic, political — which means the people best placed to know an outcome early are not always trading on public information. A surveillance feed gives employers, rather than the exchange alone, a way to look at that.
No pricing, volume or contract terms were disclosed.
